On June 25th, Sinopec's first contracted environmental management project, Jiujiang Petrochemical's sludge drying treatment plant, was officially put into operation and produced a desiccated sludge that was superior to the design standard.
The sludge drying treatment device is one of Jiujiang Petrochemical's "Three Mud" treatment units and it is also the closing project of Jiujiang Petrochemical's 15 "Green Water and Blue Sky" special environmental protection projects. The device adopts "bi-directional shearing wedge fan-type blade" sludge drying technology, designed to feed 5700 tons / hour, moisture content of 85%. The project is undertaken by Luoyang Engineering Company in accordance with the “contract environmental management†model for investment, design, construction and start-up commissioning, and is responsible for routine maintenance work during the 5-year commercial operation period. After the commercial operation expires, the project installation will be transferred to Jiujiang Petrochemical without compensation. Jiujiang Petrochemical was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the equipment during the commercial operation period, and also paid service fees to Luoyang Engineering Company on a quarterly basis during the commercial operation period.
The project entered civil construction at the end of last year, and the project was handed over on May 20 this year. In the course of more than six months of construction and commissioning, the two parties worked closely together and proceeded in an orderly manner to ensure that the project achieved the scheduled operational goals as planned.
The commissioning of this device can realize the reduction, harmlessness, stabilization, and resource treatment of oily sludge under the background of Jiujiang Petrochemical's upgrading of 8 million tons/year of oil product quality and doubled processing capacity.
