The new generation WR200 cold recycling machine is showing its talents in Zhangjiajie

Project Overview

The Zhangsang Highway on the S228 line of Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province is an important channel leading to Sangzhi County in the urban area of ​​Zhangjiajie. At present, due to the serious damage to the road surface of some sections, the road sections have been overhauled since the second half of 2017. The length of the repair section is about 10 km. The Wriggen Group's new generation cold recycler WR 200 is used for 20 cm (8 cm original asphalt pavement layer plus 12 cm original part cement stabilized macadam base). The cold recycled layer is used as the lower base layer of the overhauled asphalt pavement structure, and a 20 cm new cement stabilized macadam base layer and a 9 cm asphalt surface layer are placed thereon.

A cement spreader is used to pre-spread cement on the original road surface as a binder for cold recycled materials. The WR200 cold regenerator pushes the tanker to the local cold regeneration operation at a working speed of 4~6 m/min. The milling and mixing rotor mixes the pre-spreaded cement and the cold regenerator water while milling the 20 cm original pavement material. The accurately added 2.5%~3.5% compacted water of the spray beam is fully stirred to form a cement stabilized cold recycled mixture. The initial reloading of the cold reclaimed mixture was carried out using the Hummer 320 single drum vibratory roller customized by the Wirtgen Group for the Chinese market, followed by shaping with a grader, and then using the Hummer 320 single drum vibratory roller for recompression and the rubber roller compactor. Pressing, the cold recycled layer is finally compacted. Finally, use a sprinkler to sprinkle the cold regenerating layer for no less than 7 days.
