Solar Solve Marine, the UK manufacturer of anti-glare, heat-emitting and folding sunroofs, has equipped the Solasafe sunroof for two new ships, the Stena Transporter and the Stena Transit.
According to reports, "Stena Transit" is the last one of Stena's Beihai investment of 1 billion euros. The project will build several new and modified ships for the existing fleet in five years. The two new vessels are ro-ro cargo and passenger ships with a total length of 212 meters, a width of 26.7 meters and a draft of 6.3 meters. They are all built by South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries and cost about 110 million euros. Each new ship's nautical bridge window is equipped with 33 Solasafe sun skylights.
