Generally, sealing washer is made of normal rubber materials through rubber compression molding.
 Silicone Rubber Seal Washers Common Materials: Silicone, LSR, NR, NBR, EPDM, HNBR, SBR, TPU, PTV, CR, XNBR etc.
Different usage and functions need different housing seal materials.




Fame retardart materials (UL94 V0)  for sealing washers: Silicone, EPDM etc.
Anti-oil Housing Seal materials: NBR, HNBR (Auto products)
Conductive Silicone Rubber Gasket & Sheet: one is for sealing and conduction, the other is for reduces or eliminates the EMI / RFI noise
Food Grade & Medical Grade sealing washer:  FDA & LFGB silicone for cup, bottle, pan products or medical device.


Outside electronics and telecommunication products, if high sealing demands, mostly choose silicone rubber housing seal + backing adhesive for better sealing. IP grade (Ingress Protection) is well known as sealing protection grade.
